Landlord Add-on

Landlord gives your business an AI front desk. It answers your customers on WhatsApp, your website chat, email and phone, using your live sizes, prices and availability from Storeganise. When a customer is ready to book, it can start a move-in in Storeganise for you to confirm.

This guide covers installing the Add-on, the settings, day-to-day use and troubleshooting.

Before you start

You need:

  • A Landlord account. If you don’t have one yet, contact Landlord at uselandlord.com/contact.
  • A Storeganise user with access to Settings → Add-ons.
  • About 5 minutes.

Install the Add-on

Step 1: Get your Landlord connect code

  1. Log in to Landlord at grid.uselandlord.com.
  2. Go to Connections, click Add connection, then choose Storeganise.
  3. Choose Connect with the Storeganise Add-on.
  4. Enter your Storeganise address, for example yourcompany.storeganise.com.
  5. Copy the connect code that appears. It looks like LL-AB12CD34.

The code works once and expires after 24 hours. If it expires, come back and get a new one.

Step 2: Configure the Add-on in Storeganise

  1. In Storeganise, go to Settings → Add-ons and open Landlord.
  2. Paste the code into Landlord connect code (landlord_connectCode).
  3. Set AI access (landlord_aiAccess). See “Choosing AI access” below.
  4. Click Save.

Step 3: Enable the Add-on

  1. Click Enable on the Landlord Add-on.
  2. Within a minute, Linked Landlord workspace (landlord_workspaceName) shows the name of your Landlord workspace. That means the two accounts are connected.

If it stays empty, go back to Landlord and click Check now (see Troubleshooting).

The settings

Choosing AI access

  • Choose read to start. The AI quotes sizes, prices, availability and offers, and hands booking requests to your team.
  • Choose write when you are happy for the AI to start move-ins. The AI creates the customer if needed, reserves a unit and starts the move-in. The move-in waits for you to confirm the order in Storeganise. Nothing is charged before you do.

You can change AI access at any time. Landlord picks up the change the next time Storeganise sends an update, and at least once a day.

Day-to-day use

What the AI uses from Storeganise

  • Your sites, unit types, prices and deposits. Prices are quoted for your billing period (for example per month).
  • How many units of each type are free right now.
  • Offer ribbons you show on a unit type, for example “OPENING OFFER - £1 for 6 Weeks”. If a ribbon is only on some unit types, the AI only offers it on those.

What happens when a customer books

With AI access set to write:

  1. The customer agrees to the price with the AI.
  2. The AI starts a move-in in Storeganise and the unit shows as reserved.
  3. You see the move-in in Storeganise, waiting for you to confirm the order.
  4. You confirm it as you normally would. Storeganise then raises the invoice.

What Landlord hears about

Landlord is told straight away when, in Storeganise:

  • a move-in is created, confirmed, completed or cancelled
  • a new lead or waitlist entry is created
  • a rental goes overdue, or is paid up again
  • a move-out is scheduled

The AI uses these to keep your team informed and to follow up where it should. Landlord only reads the details it needs, through the Add-on.

Troubleshooting

Linked Landlord workspace stays empty

  • Check the code was pasted in full and starts with LL-.
  • Check the code is less than 24 hours old. If not, get a new one in Landlord.
  • Check you entered the same Storeganise address in Landlord as the one you log in to.
  • Make sure the Add-on is enabled, then in Landlord click Check now and paste the Add-on ID. You can find it in the address bar on the Add-on’s settings page: /admin/addons/<Add-on ID>.

The AI quotes a price that looks wrong

  • Check the unit type’s price in Storeganise. The AI reads it live, so a change shows up within a minute.
  • Check your billing period under your Storeganise settings. The AI quotes per that period.

The AI won’t start a move-in

  • Check AI access (landlord_aiAccess) is set to write, then save.
  • The AI only books unit types that have a free unit.

I want to disconnect

  • In Storeganise, disable the Landlord Add-on. Landlord stops receiving updates and can no longer read your account.
  • In Landlord, you can also remove the Storeganise connection from Connections.
