Liberty Secure Storage: From 10 Hours/Week to 30 Minutes/Month

Full automation that lets the owner log in once a month

When I talk to prospective customers about what Landlord can actually do for them, I pull up Liberty Secure Storage's dashboard.

Not because they're the biggest facility or the most complex operation, but because they're the perfect example of full automation.

The owner logs in once a month. Maybe once every few weeks if she's feeling ambitious. She checks the occupancy report, sees it climbing steadily, and logs out. That's it. That's the entire job.

The rest? Our AI handles it.

The Challenge: Running a Facility Without Actually Running It

When Liberty Secure Storage came to us, they had a problem most owners would kill to have: the facility was doing fine, but the owner didn't want to spend 10+ hours a week managing it.

She didn't want to:

  • Spend hours calling and emailing late tenants
  • Answer the same questions from people calling in
  • Worry about handling the accounting
  • Have to keep track of competitors rent prices to know when to raise rents

She came to us and wanted the facility to run itself. We told her we'd make it happen.

What Landlord Does for Liberty Secure Storage

Automated Rent Collection

With a few prompts to our AI it schedules payment reminders, processes payments automatically, and follows up via email, text, and phone calls.

24/7 Tenant Communication

If prospective tenants want, they can rent units online at 2 AM. We've even had a tenant move-in at midnight who signed the contract; paid online; and moved in—all without human intervention.

Occupancy Tracking & Reporting

Every month, the owner gets a clean report showing occupancy and revenue growth and overdue invoices shrinking.

The Result

Liberty Secure Storage saves $12,000 per year by not needing a part-time property manager. The owner gets her time back. The facility keeps growing.

The Craziest Things We've Had to Handle

But running a storage facility isn't always smooth sailing. Liberty Secure Storage has dealt with some wild situations, and our team was there for all of it.

The Break-In

Right when they first started working with us, Liberty had a break-in. Someone cut the lock on the gate and got into a few units overnight to steal electronics.

The owner (this was her first self storage facility) called us in a panic. We immediately helped her order security cameras, coordinated with a handyman to set them up, and talked with local police who agreed to monitor the area more closely.

Our team was there for every step so that the owner wasn't dealing with it alone.

The FBI Subpoena

A few months later, things got even wilder.

The FBI showed up with a subpoena. They believed someone was using one of the units to store illegal drugs and needed the full rent roll to identify the tenant.

The owner called us again. Our team pulled the rent roll, formatted it properly for law enforcement, and handled all the back-and-forth communication. Bad news – we lost a tenant who paid rent on time every month. Good news – they caught the bad guy.

What the Owner Says About Landlord

"Landlord is great. I've learned a lot over the past two years and am super grateful for the support of their team."

It's a lot of people's dream to save up and buy an asset that makes them money while they sleep; because that's how to build wealth. We've been thrilled to work alongside the owner of Liberty Secure Storage to make that a possibility for someone who had no experience managing any kind of real estate when they started with us.
